Description
Sunny View is a house, which was later divided into two dwellings, dating from around 1600 and altered and extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered and has a thatched roof. The building consists of three bays with an end stack and is one storey high with an attic. The entrance is located towards the left side, whereas it was originally likely on the right. The windows include 20th-century three-light casements and two eyebrow thatched dormers with two lights. The right side of the roof is hipped and has an internal end stack, while the left end has a 19th-century extruded stack as part of a 20th-century extension.
Inside, much of the frame is concealed, but there are some areas of close studding and stop-chamfered cross axial binding beams. The first floor features opposed base cruck blades that extend up to a collar on the right side of the center, along with reverse cranked and reverse curved arched braces in the walling, and edge halved scarf joints.
