Description

The sundial, dating from the 19th century, is located 30 meters southwest of the west elevation of Helmingham Hall. It is made of limestone and stands about 1.5 meters high. The base is octagonal, while the stem is vase-shaped and also octagonal, featuring gadrooning. The dial is made of bronze and includes precise inscriptions, such as the Tollemache Arms, the maker's name (George Adams of Fleet Street, London), and calendar information. This sundial is included as Grade I in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.
