Description
The stable block located to the east of Number 52 Stayer House dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of painted red brick arranged in Flemish bond and features a slate roof. The building is single-storey and has a symmetrical west elevation that faces the house. The central bay is pedimented and projects outward, featuring double timber carriage doors. On either side of the central bay, there are two Gothick 2-light casements with leaded glazing. Each recessed bay on the sides includes one similar casement and a pair of double timber doors. The roof is hipped, and the north side is illuminated by two 2-light casements with glazing bars. There is a stack on the front roof slope. The interior has not been inspected.
