Description
Perry Farm House is a house that has been divided into two dwellings, built in two phases during the early and later 17th century. It features a timber frame with plastered walls and thatched roofs. The left side has a lower one-storey and attic bay, which is likely the earlier section, while the right side has a slightly taller two-storey and attic extension with two bays. There is a boarded door on the far right, nine-pane part opening flush metal frame casements, smaller on the first floor, and a dormer window to the left. At the ridge where the two sections join, there is a cement rendered multiform stack, likely built with the earlier bay. The gable end has two-light attic windows, with brick casing on the left and a pentice board. There are 20th-century additions to the rear, including an entrance on the right. Inside, the house features stop-chamfered cross axial binding beams and joists, fairly close studding with braces in the walling, a diamond mullioned window opening on the upper storey of the early bay, collars clasping purlins, and windbraces.
