Description
Liege Cottage is a house, formerly with a shop, dating from the 18th century and possibly earlier, with alterations made in the 19th century. It has a timber frame and is roughcast, topped with a hipped black glazed pantiled roof. The building features a three-cell lobby entry plan and stands two storeys tall.
On the ground floor, there is a boarded architraved door located to the left of centre. To the left of the door is a 3:3 pane architraved sash window, and to the right, there is a three-light glazing bar casement window with hoodboards. Farther to the right, there is a large and shallow four-pane canted bay window that was formerly a shop window. The first floor contains three 3:3 pane architraved sash windows, with beading along the coved eaves. An axial ridge stack is positioned towards the left between the hall and parlour. The left end features French windows and a 16-pane sash window on the first floor. There is also a lean-to outshut at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
