Description
Cornerways is a house from the second half of the 18th century. It has a timber frame, mostly covered in plaster, with the right gable end made of colourwashed brick. The roof is thatched and the house has two storeys. There are three windows, each featuring two-light casements with a single horizontal glazing bar in each light. The central doorway has a mid-20th century door and is sheltered by a gabled wooden trellis porch topped with a spike finial. The gable stacks have been rebuilt in common brick during the 20th century. The building features thin studding, primarily secured with nails, and straight primary braces. It is noted as a relatively unaltered example of its type.
