Description

Rose Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably from the 17th century, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed with a timber frame that is pebble-dashed. The front wall of the ground storey was encased in red brick with gault brick dressings in the late 19th century. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has an axial chimney made of red brick from the 17th century; a sunk panel near the base of the chimney likely contained a date in plaster. The windows are late 19th-century sashes with large panes, and those on the ground storey have cambered heads made of gault brick. The entrance door, also from the late 19th century, is a four-panelled design with glazed upper panels. The interior has not been examined.
