Description

Saddlers Cottage is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, featuring a timber frame and plastered exterior with a thatched roof. The building consists of three cells and is one and a half storeys tall. The windows are primarily small-paned casements, with a 19th-century mullioned window on the right. There are three gabled dormers, each containing a three-light window with horizontal glazing bars. The gable of the central dormer displays plasterwork dated 1728 with the initials 'M' over 'PE' within a square panel. The stack has a rebuilt shaft. To the left gable end, there is a one-storey plastered addition, also thatched. A recessed mid-20th-century doorway is located in the right gable end. Additionally, there is a weatherboarded workshop attached to the rear. The interior has not been examined.
