Description

No. 84 High Street is a building that dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It serves as part of a shop, with a dwelling above and at the rear. The building has two storeys and features two windows. It is constructed with a timber frame and rough-cast exterior, and the upper floor jetties out towards the street. The windows are 19th-century sash windows with large panes. The entrance door is made up of six panels, with the lower panels being fielded and the upper pair glazed. Steps leading up to the entrance are flanked by 19th-century railings. Internally, some unmoulded framing from the late 16th or 17th century is exposed.
