Description
The Old Thatch is a house that likely dates back to the 15th century. It features a timber frame with a plastered facade, and the right gable end is constructed of 19th-century red brick. The roof is thatched and the building has one and a half storeys. It includes various old casement windows with small panes and one gabled dormer. There is a cross-entry with a 19th-century boarded door. Inside, there is an internal stack, although the upper part of the shaft has been altered, and there is another stack against the left gable end. To the left of the house, there is a small addition made of colourwashed brick and pantiles that connects the house to the adjacent cottage. The interior has not been inspected but is believed to date back to the medieval period, featuring a former open hall.
