Description
The Water Lily Public House is a 19th-century building, likely with an earlier core. It is probably timber framed and rendered, with slate roofs, and may have had its eaves raised during a refronting. Originally, it featured two single bay wings extending back from the road, with a carriage entrance between them, which is now blocked. The building stands at two and a half storeys tall. The central part has a glazed doorway flanked by similar panels on the left and right. To the left, there are two sash windows, and to the right, there is a pair of part-glazed doors with similar windows on either side. A moulded entablature and a first-floor band are present. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, with the central window being smaller. Additionally, there are two inserted small-paned dormers and brick stacks at the rear. The ground floor has been obscured or reordered, and the first floor was not inspected. This building is included for its group value only.
