Description

This is an early 19th century former house of correction, later converted into flats. The building is two storeys and has an attic, with a central dormer. A lower ground floor is present at the rear. It now has seven windows at the first floor, including two casement windows in the centre. The facade features a crude stone cornice and a rendered parapet. The exterior is red brick with a slate roof. The building forms a group with numbers 8 and 12 to 24 on the same side of the street.
