Description

This is a headstone dedicated to Charles Clark, a surgeon who died in 1743. The monument is made of stone and features a rectangular slab with a segmental head. It is carved in low relief, depicting a skull, an angel, and surgical instruments, with an inscription located below these carvings. The headstone is situated approximately three meters west of the north vestry of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Aldeburgh.
