Description

No. 56 is a house that also serves as part of a shop, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is connected to No. 54 and stands two storeys tall. The building is constructed of gault brick and features a slated roof. There are four main windows, which are sashes set in flush frames with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. On the extreme left at the ground floor, there is a curved bay shop window with glazing bars and a concave roof. The entrance doorway is adorned with an architrave and a cornice above, and it contains a six-panel raised and fielded door. The building has two brick stacks, one of which is cement rendered.
