Description

No. 54 on High Street is a building that has been converted into a grocer's shop, with part of it still used for residential purposes. The house has a core that dates back to the 17th century at the rear, while the front was constructed in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is two storeys high, with a timber frame and plaster at the rear, and gault brick at the front. The roof is hipped and plain-tiled at the rear, with slates on the front. There is a canted bay window at the first floor level featuring sashes with glazing bars. The shop front is modern, and there is scattered fenestration with casements that also have glazing bars.
