Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the early 17th century and likely has a timber-framed core, with a red brick casing and a painted brick facade. The roof is covered with pantiles and the building is single storey with an attic.
It features a two-window range with three-light small pane casements and segmental arches. The center window is a mid-20th century addition that replaced a former doorway. There is a boarded door on the left side, along with two 19th century flat-roofed dormers and one earlier dormer that has leaded windows. The gables have parapets and there is one internal stack.
To the right side, there is a single storey lean-to extension with a boarded door, and at the rear, there is a two-storey gabled brick extension. Attached to the east is a former barn that was converted into living accommodation in the early 20th century and is now part of the farmhouse.
