Description
Wright's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with a 17th-century wing. It is timber framed, covered in colourwashed render, and has a plain tile roof that was likely originally thatched. The entrance front is divided into two sections: the earlier axial wing on the right is 1½ storeys high, while the 17th-century wing on the left is 2½ storeys.
The right portion features two doorways on either side of the center, with 3-light casement windows on the outer sides. Above, there is a 3-light gabled dormer window on the first floor to the left. The ridge has a large rectangular chimney stack on the left side, which has sawtoothed flues. The 17th-century wing on the left has a 19th-century ground floor sash window with 4 x 4 panes and a 3-light casement window on the first floor. The gable is jettied and supported by moulded brackets, featuring a decoratively carved bressumer and a cross window. The right gable end has a cross window on the first floor and a blank wall at ground level, while the left end has one ground floor cross window. The interior has not been inspected.
