Description

No 56 on St Mary's Street is an 18th-century building that stands two stories tall with an attic. It features two gabled sash dormers with glazing bars and two near flush frame casements on the first floor. The structure is primarily made of red brick, with some areas painted and others stuccoed. The shop front is bow-shaped, with a central entrance framed in wood, supported by reeded pilasters and topped with an enriched entablature. This building is part of a group that includes No 2 on Lower Olland Street and Nos 1, 3, and 3A on Upper Olland Street, as well as Nos 42 to 56 (even) which also form a group.
