Description
Nos 49 and 51 on Thoroughfare are early 19th-century buildings constructed in 1852. They are three stories tall and made of red brick, which is partly painted. The roofs are covered with slates, and the buildings feature very wide eaves supported by paired brackets. There is a stucco band at the cill of the second floor. The façade has six windows with glazing bars and flat arches, although modern shop fronts have been added. The two doors are centrally located and are grouped under stucco arches with plain fanlights. The door for No 49 is a six-panel flush door, while No 51 has a partly original door with fielded panels. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 39 to 55 (odd).
