Description

This is an 18th-century, three-story building on the north side of Thoroughfare, part of a group of properties numbered 39 to 55 (odd). The building has a timber frame, which has been plastered and finished to resemble ashlar stonework. The roof is slate-covered. It features two sash windows set within flush frames, each framed by simple architraves with ears. An early 19th-century wooden shop front is present, characterized by fluted, slender pilasters and columns. A passageway runs through the building on the right-hand side.
