Description
Red House is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with an early 19th-century wing on the right side and a 20th-century wing on the left side. The central block is timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic. On the left side, there is a cross window with leaded casements, along with two later 6-light casements. The central doorway features a 6-panel door in a solid frame, and there is another doorway with a 6-panel door to the right. A single gabled dormer contains a casement window. The 19th-century wing is made of brick and has a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. It has a three-window range with sashes that include glazing bars in cased frames and flat arches. The central doorway in this section also has a 6-panel door, complemented by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars and a hipped roof.
