Description
Ogilvie Homes is a terrace of 18 almshouses built in 1887, as indicated by a tablet on the east gable wall. The structure consists of a range of 14 units, with 4 of the units each containing 2 dwellings. It is a single-storey building made of brick, topped with a pantiled roof.
The central gable projects and features a range of casement windows arranged like a conservatory, along with a clock face in the gable end and a wooden bellcote mounted on the roof ridge. On either side of the central gable are 7 units, each with a projecting porch. Each unit has 2 windows, which are sashes with cambered brick arches. The entrance doors are 4-panel designs, with the upper panels being glazed. The gable ends and porches are adorned with ornamental bargeboards.
