Description

This is a row of six houses located on New Street, dating to around 1820. The houses are constructed of brick and have pantile roofs. They form a continuous block with a six-window facade. The central pair of houses is taller and features panelled doors, one on the right and one on the left, set within round-headed arches built of gauged brick. Above the doors are 16-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors, all with flat gauged brick arches. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top of the building and a central chimney rises from above each pair of houses. The outer pairs of houses have panelled doors (the door at No. 35 is a 20th-century replacement) and casement windows on both the ground and first floors. No. 25 has a small, recessed bay window on the ground floor. Brick ridge chimneys are located centrally above each pair of houses.
