Description
45-49 New Street is an early 19th-century symmetrical terrace of three cottages, with slightly projecting end cottages. The building was remodelled and the roof altered between 1976 and 1978, and now features modern dormers. The fenestration is arranged as 2 windows, 3 windows, 2 windows. The roof is covered with pantiles and has projecting eaves, and also includes modern dormers. The external walls are constructed of red brick, with plinths to numbers 45 and 47. Four former blank panels on the first floor have been replaced with windows. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars are set within gauged flat brick arches. Recessed doorways, previously featuring four-panel doors, now have six-panel doors set within solid, newly constructed door frames.
