Description

This is an early 19th-century house on Flixton Road. It is constructed of yellow brick with a pantile roof and wide eaves. The facade is divided into three sections with wide, shallow brick panels, linked by a horizontal band at the first-floor level. The central section features three windows, originally designed to accommodate louvred and panelled shutters, that now have sash windows with glazing bars and small border panes set within flat-arched flush frames. The wings are single-storied and have blank panels. A six-panel door is accessed via a wooden porch with square, panelled columns and a trellis screen on either side. Numbers 9 to 13 (the odd numbers) combine to form a group.
