Description

This 17th-century barn is aligned northeast to southwest and is located 40 meters northwest of Red House. It has five bays and features a central gabled midstrey that was added to the west side in the 19th century. The barn is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a Roman pantiled roof. The studwork includes a middle rail, and many of the studs have been reused from an earlier building. The roof has side purlins, with two purlins on each slope; the upper purlins are clasped, while the lower ones are butted.
