Country House. 1928 by Horace Field. Red brick laid in stretcher bond; machine tile roofs in 5 parallel ranges with hipped gables to west. Neo-Georgian style. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and dormer attic. West front has recessed five-bay centre flanked by projecting 2-bay wings. Central double-leaf panelled door within a Roman Doric doorcase rising to pediment. Over pediment a datestone: 'Anno Domini 1928'. Irregular 5 window fenestration including single, double and tripartite sashes and tall stair window to right comprising 8/8 central sash and 4 pane sidelights. Flanking wings with two 6/6 sashes to each floor and one hipped dormer to each attic fitted with 2-light casements. External stacks to north and south returns. East elevation 2 storeys 7 bays, the centre 3 under an open pediment. Irregular fenestration with tripartite and simple sashes with glazing bars. Left side of ground floor has 3-bay arcaded loggia closed by French doors. Hipped roof with 2 ridge stacks. INTERIOR: not inspected.
