Description
Low Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It was modernised in the 1960s with a two-storey extension to the west and a porch to the east. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a two-window range to the east with three-light casements. A large central porch with a mid-20th century boarded door faces north. There is also one window with diamond leaded panes on the north gable and one internal stack. The farmhouse has timber framed extensions, likely from the 18th century, to the north and south. The interior has been well restored, showcasing much exposed timberwork, including original newel stairs, some original floorboarding, and internal doors.
