Description
No. 25 and No. 25A on Upper Olland Street are a pair of attached houses that were formerly a public house, dating from the 18th century. They are built of Flemish bond red brick and feature a pantile roof with brick modillion eaves. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and have three windows. The first floor has casements in flush frames, while the ground floor mainly has sashes in flush frames, all with cambered arches.
No. 25A has a wood reeded doorcase with roundels and a six-panel door. To the right, No. 25 has a reeded doorcase with roundels, an enriched canopy, and a 20th-century panelled door. Both houses have two gabled dormers and are reputed to have once been the Red Lion Public House.
