Description

These are 18th-century timber-framed cottages located on the north side of Church Street in Stoke-by-Nayland. The cottages have a plastered facade with decorative panels. They are one storey high with attics, and feature a three-window front with double-hung sash windows containing glazing bars. Three doorways are present, each with a moulded wooden architrave and a shallow cornice above, leading to six-panel doors. The roofs are tiled, using old tiles, and incorporate three gabled dormers and a central rectangular chimney stack.
