Description

Rise Farmhouse is a building originally constructed in the 15th to 16th century, featuring a timber-framed and plastered structure that stands at right angles to the road. In the 16th to 17th century, a wing was added to the west at the north end, and the building was refronted in the 18th century. The original block has a jettied upper storey on the west side. The roof is covered with modern pantiles and the building has two storeys. It features a three-window range, with paired double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars on the ground storey. Inside, the farmhouse showcases exposed timber framing.
