Description

Peppers Hall is a 16th and 17th century building that was once a moated manor house belonging to the wealthy Spring family, known for their cloth-making business in Lanenham. The hall has undergone extensive alterations in the 19th century. The front of the building is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance includes a six-panel door set beneath a stucco porch supported by plain Tuscan columns and a cornice. At the rear, there is a timber-framed and plastered wing that retains exposed ceiling beams and joists inside.
