Description

Numbers 47 and 49-53, also known as Hurrell Place, are two adjoining blocks of former dwellings that have been converted into two tenements. The west block dates from the 16th to 17th century, while the east block is from the later 17th century. The buildings are timber-framed and plastered, topped with tiled roofs. They have been renovated and feature modern fronts. Both blocks are two storeys high, with modern casements and doors. Number 49-53 has a modern chimney stack designed in the style of the 17th century, featuring saw tooth shafting. Inside, the properties boast well-crafted moulded ceiling beams and joists.
