Description

The Spread Eagle is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Sudbury Road in Bures St Mary. It has undergone renovations and additions on the west side in the 20th century and features some 18th-century external elements. The building has one storey and attics, with some lattice leaded casements. The roof is tiled with old tiles and includes a central chimney stack with two diagonal shafts on a square base, as well as an external chimney stack with diagonally set square shafts at the north end. A porch with a lean-to tiled roof extends from the front, and there is a gabled dormer above it.
