Description
Old Mill House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations that include an extension in width to the rear and re-roofing. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring some dark brick headers, and has a slate roof with white brick stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a six-window front. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a radial fanlight, set within a doorcase that has fluted engaged columns, paterae in the friezes, and a cornice hood, with panelled reveals. To the left of the door are two flush sash windows with sills beneath flat gauged brick arches, and to the right is a 16-pane sash window with internal shutters. A four-course band runs along the first floor, which features 12-pane sashes in flush architraves with sills under flat gauged brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
