Description
Layham House is an 18th-century building located on the north-west side of The Street in Layham. It features a red brick front that is painted below the parapet, complemented by end pilasters and finials, suggesting it may have been constructed as part of an earlier building. The roof is tiled, with stopped gables and a tall ridge chimney stack. The house has two storeys and attics, with a six-window range of double-hung sashes that have glazing bars on the upper storey windows. These windows are set in shallow reveals with segmental heads. The entrance doorway is adorned with pilasters and a pediment.
