Description
Overbury Hall is a large timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 16th to 17th century. It has been significantly modernized and partly rebuilt, with a tiled roof. The hall is two storeys high with attics, and features a jettied upper storey on the south end, supported by exposed joists. The front has a window arrangement of three groups of three and four double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The central section, which has three windows, projects forward as a half octagonal bay. There are two chimney stacks, each with four grouped octagonal shafts on a square base, although the tops have been rebuilt. Some original windows remain. Inside, the dining room boasts an unusual ceiling made of closely set moulded beams.
