Description

Bay Tree Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered building with a cross wing at the east end, dating back to the 15th century, with a main block likely added or rebuilt between the 15th and 16th centuries. The roof is tiled. The farmhouse is two storeys high. The cross wing is the earliest part of the building. The interior framing has been altered by cutting away members, but much of the original work remains. The roof contains heavy, closely spaced rafters and collars. The exterior was altered in the 19th century, but at the time of survey, it was undergoing restoration.
