Description

Poplar Hall Farmhouse is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building that has undergone alterations in the 18th century. It is accessed by a farm road from Whatfield Road. The upper storey features exposed timber-framing, while the ground storey is faced with painted brick. The roof is tiled and modern, topped with a prominent ridge chimney stack that has four octagonal shafts with moulded bases and caps on a square base. The windows are primarily double-hung sashes with glazing bars, and there are two gabled dormers on the front of the house.
