Description
Aveley Hall is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed house, with a later section rebuilt or cased in red brick on the south front. The building has two storeys, and the east end of the north block features a jettied upper storey. The south front has a four-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The windows are primarily double-hung sashes with glazing bars, with some being three-light and others casements. The roofs are double-pitched and tiled, topped by a large rectangular central chimney stack on the north block. Inside, the house has moulded ceiling beams.
