Description
The Church of All Saints is a 13th-century flint church that underwent restoration in the 19th century and is now mostly faced with cement. The west tower, made of flint, features a lower section with massive diagonal buttresses dating from the 13th century, while the upper part was rebuilt between 1913 and 1923. The chancel connects to the De Bures Chapel on the north side, which showcases a fine 13th-century canopied arch with cusping. Inside, the church contains notable brasses, including the famous brass of Robert de Bures from 1302, a brass of Alyce de Bryan from 1435 featuring a figure under a triple canopy, and a brass for Henry Bures, who died in 1528. Additionally, there is a monument to Robert Jennes, who died in 1732 and served as adjutant to the Duke of Marlborough. The church is recognized for its historical significance and interior features.
