Description
This is a pair of tombs located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They commemorate James and Sarah Revans, along with their son and daughter, who share the same names. The tombs are made of ashlar and consist of two sarcophagi with headstones and low slabs at the feet. James Revans passed away in 1823, Sarah Revans in 1844, their daughter Sarah in 1843, and their son James in 1848. The Revans family had a close association with the Constable family, as James Revans senior served as the Steward of Golding Constable, which is reflected in the close proximity of their family tombs.
