Description

This is a probably 17th-century house that was refaced with red brick in the 18th century and was once painted. It is two storeys high with a tiled roof. The front has a small wooden modillion eaves cornice and brick bands separating the floors. There are five window bays, originally with sash windows and glazing bars, though many have been altered. Number 80 features an open pediment doorcase with an arched fanlight and bead and reel moulding on the pediment, and also a six-panel door. Another doorcase has a flat hood, channelled frieze, and moulded architrave. The interior may be of interest. The building is included on the list for its Group Value.

It forms a group with numbers 74 to 83 and numbers 85 to 92. All listed buildings on the north-west side, The King’s Head Public House and The Transport Cafe on Bulzer Road are also part of this group.
