Description

The War Memorial, likely dating to around 1920 with an extension around 1945, is constructed of ashlar. The First World War memorial consists of a square, stepped cenotaph pillar. The plinth features inscriptions commemorating those who fell, and the upper section displays coats of arms, including that of Hadleigh, facing the front. A Second World War memorial is placed at the rear, taking the form of a panelled wall situated between two piers with integrated seats and a central pedestal. This pedestal supports a bolection-moulded tablet listing the names of the fallen. The memorial as a whole represents a well-executed composition.
