Description
Home Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, likely built upon an earlier structure. It is constructed of red brick, with the south gable rendered. The roof has a steeply-pitched plain tiled covering. The farmhouse is two storeys and has an attic, arranged with a lobby entrance plan. The east-facing elevation has a four-window front with unequal bays. The ground floor windows are 3-light casements with segmental heads. A six-panel entrance door, with four glazed panels, is located alongside an off-centre chimney stack. A blocked doorway is situated at the south-east corner. The corners of the building feature brick pilasters with moulded tops. The main axial chimney stack has four octagonal shafts with moulded caps on a square base. There is also an internal chimney stack on the north gable with two octagonal shafts. A gabled attic dormer is present, with casements set into the gable ends. Blocked ground floor and first-floor openings are visible in the north gable, along with a segmental-headed casement in the west wall. A single-storey gabled range extends from the south side of the farmhouse.
