Description
Beech Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, located on a site shown on the tithe map of 1720. It is built of Flemish bond red brick and has a black glazed pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay facade and two additional bays. On the ground floor, there are two three-pane fixed sash windows, and on the first floor, there are five four-pane fixed sashes, all featuring glazing bars. The outer lights have lower openings, and the upper two lights are set into pointed Gothick heads. The openings are topped with flat rubbed arches.
The central wooden doorcase has single reed moulding, pilasters with roundels, a frieze with lozenges, and a projecting cornice. The door reveals are four-panel, and the main door is an eight-panel raised and fielded design. The centre bay is advanced with outer pilasters, while the two additional bays feature ground floor French doors. The farmhouse has two ridge stacks.
