Description

This is a 17th-century timber-frame cottage located on Tacolneston Hall Road. It is rendered externally and has a pantile roof with gabled ends. The cottage is one storey high, with an attic space containing two modern gabled dormers. There are two modern casement windows with leaded panes. A modern porch shelters the left-hand doorway. A 20th-century addition, also rendered and with a matching pantile roof, extends from the north end. Inside, the ceiling beam displays ovolo moulding with carved stops. The fireplace features a stopped and chamfered bressumer.
