Description

Houghton House is an early to mid-19th century house, likely with an earlier doorcase. It is two stories high and has three windows. The front of the house is brick, which has been painted. The windows have stuccoed, flat arches with decorative keys and sash windows with small, dividing panes of glass. A wooden doorcase, in the Doric style with fluted columns and triglyphs, frames a six-panel door, which has an oblong fanlight and reveals to the case. A small wing of red brick is attached to the left side of the house. Inside, early 19th century fireplaces remain. The roof is slate.
