Description
Monk's Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It features a rendered timber frame with a colour-washed brick addition and has both pantiled and plain tiled roofs. The building is designed in the 17th century Lobby Entrance style, with a mid-19th century cross wing that now serves as the main wing. The original house has two storeys with an attic and displays scattered fenestration, primarily from the 20th century. It includes two sloping dormers and an off-centre axial stack. The cross wing has two storeys and three bays of sash windows with glazing bars set beneath skewback arches. The entrance is semi-circular headed, featuring a fanlight and a panelled door. Decorative ridge tiles and two stacks are present on the rear wall.
