Description
The Church of St Peter is a parish church located on St. Peter's Hill in Morley. It dates from the 15th century, with Victorian additions. The building features flint walls that are rendered, except for the tower and vestry, which have ashlar and brick dressings. The roofs are covered with black pantiles.
The church has a truncated west tower, an aisleless nave that includes a south porch, and a chancel with a north vestry. The west tower, which is unbuttressed, has a pyramidal roof and a polygonal stair turret on the north side. The nave is adorned with four 3-light Perpendicular windows. The porch, dating from the 16th century, has brick dressings and a rectangular hood-mould. The chancel and vestry, along with furnishings and arch-braced roofs, were added during the Victorian period.
